Key Account Manager My client based in Clonakilty Cork manufactures moulded plastic containers and other plastic products into resellers and end users across Ireland and Europe. They sell to Agriculture, Construction, Environmental, Fuel and Energy sectors and produce products such as fuel, water and chemical tanks, recycling banks, composters, and mortar tubs to name a few. A well-established family run business they are looking for a Key Account Manager to look after current key customers across Ireland and Europe - a mix of end users and distributors. Part of the role is seeking new customers within Europe. This is predominantly a desk-based job with occasional travel to Irish clients once or twice per month and European travel approximately four times per year (just two nights or so abroad). The ideal candidate does not need to come from a similar industry, however a B2B sales background is preferable. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional who is passionate about building strong client partnerships and unlocking new revenue opportunities. Salary is up to €55k however maybe negotiable but must reflect experience. Other additional benefits will be discussed on application. Responsibilities for the job of Key Account Manager Manage and nurture relationships with existing key accounts for both Irish & European customers Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue within each account Drive sales and actively seek new business opportunities to acquire new customers, with a focus on growth in the European market Generate progress reports for customers and directors Develop a thorough understanding of products to better upsell and cross-sell to customers Requirements for the job of Key Account Manager Proven experience in account management Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive business expansion.
