We are seeking an experienced engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimisation of systems and infrastructure, with a strong focus on identity and access management.
You will act as a senior technical contributor, delivering complex engineering solutions, supporting system integration, and driving improvements across environments. While not a people manager, you will provide technical leadership and influence across teams and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support requirements definition and refinement with delivery teams
Design and implement solutions across network, virtualisation, and datacentre environments
Integrate and manage systems in line with defined acceptance criteria
Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable system solutions
Work with large and complex datasets to meet business and technical needs
Enhance processes for system delivery, quality control, and workload management
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve delivery efficiency and insight
Execute and analyse integration, regression, and performance testing, troubleshooting issues as needed
Produce clear documentation for deployment, support, and operational processes
Identify gaps in environment standards and drive remediation plans
Required Experience & Skills
7+ years in Information Security or Systems Engineering
Strong hands‑on experience with SSO and authentication protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP, FIDO, SCIM)
Proven expertise with Ping Identity solutions (PingFederate, PingAccess preferred)
Experience designing and implementing custom IAM policies and integrations
Strong background in Cloud IAM (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience federating and synchronising identities across cloud platforms
Solid development experience in Java/J2EE and scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.)
Understanding of API design and RESTful services
Knowledge of Active Directory, MFA, risk‑based authentication, and PAM
Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments and application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere)
Good understanding of security frameworks and risk management practices
