Job Overview:
VANRATH is supporting a well-established company with an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee an initial project.
The Procurement Manager will join the business on a temporary basis, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies, ensuring high-quality supply chains.
* Lead supplier negotiations and manage key relationships to secure optimal terms and delivery.
* Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely purchases align with company needs.
* Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and industry standards.
* Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
* Manage procurement staff, driving effective team performance.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and provide tailored solutions.
* Prepare and manage procurement reports, tracking purchasing performance and key metrics.
* Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier contracts.
Essential Criteria:
* Significant experience in procurement or a similar supply chain role.
* Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
* Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies effectively.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, prioritising tasks efficiently.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience using procurement software.
* Strong analytical skills, interpreting data and market trends.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicating effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
* A degree or professional qualification in procurement, business, or a related field is desirable.
* Experience in a similar industry would be beneficial.
