Job Title: Site Representative
Join our community of professionals as a Site Representative, where you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our projects. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing design site representation on a wide range of transport schemes, including civils/highways, rail infrastructure, urban mobility, and aviation.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Site Representative to join our Project Management department. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of design coordination activities on site, supporting the Project Manager in achieving project goals.
* Act as the primary link between the contractor's team on site and the design office, ensuring designers' obligations are fulfilled during the construction phase.
* Carry out duties of the Designers Site Representative, including witnessing construction operations, inspecting works, raising & closing out Non-Conformancies, managing Technical Query process, and Material Approval Forms with the design office.
* Manage the designers site team of engineers, specialists, and inspectors on larger projects.
* Ensure all project deliverables are met within contracted timeframes.
* Liaise between internal and external stakeholders to align project goals.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
* Report project progress to the Project Manager and senior management team.
* Troubleshoot issues and resolve them promptly to avoid project delays.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Minimum HNC/HND in Building/Civil Engineering or related discipline.
* Chartered membership of a construction-focused association or institute (e.g., ICE/IEI).
* Experience in a DSR role on civil infrastructure projects, preferably within a multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy.
* Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
* Knowledge of National Infrastructure Programmes, such as National Highway's Project Control Framework, and delivery of schemes within their Regional Investment Programme.
* Knowledge of construction and design processes.
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
* Understanding of various types of procurement methods and contract administration requirements, including NEC3 and NEC4.
