Supply Chain Director
Location: Cork, Ireland
Our client is an expanding global pharmaceutical organisation undergoing significant site expansion and transformation at its Cork-based manufacturing facility. As part of this growth, they are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director to provide strong visible leadership across end-to-end supply chain operations.
This is a senior site leadership role with full accountability for supply chain strategy, execution, and team development within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
The Role
You will lead all site supply chain activities, ensuring robust planning, execution, and delivery while supporting ongoing scale-up and transformation. Working closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and commercial stakeholders, you will play a key role in improving rigour, predictability, and performance across the operation.
Key responsibilities include:
Full ownership of end-to-end site supply chain, including planning, logistics, warehousing, distribution, and import/export activities
Defining and implementing best‑practice supply chain processes, aligned with group standards and local operational needs
Leading supply chain transformation initiatives to support capacity expansion, efficiency, and service performance
Driving strong cross-functional collaboration to resolve complex operational challenges
Setting and managing inventory targets, KPIs, and budgets, ensuring operational and regulatory compliance
Acting as a trusted supply chain expert, providing guidance on governance, compliance, and continuous improvement
Leading, coaching, and developing supply chain teams, building capability, engagement, and succession within the function
About You
You will be an experienced supply chain leader with a strong track record in manufacturing-led environments and a clear people‑first leadership style.
Key requirements include:
Senior supply chain leadership experience within Pharmaceutical, FMCG or Medical Device manufacturing environments
Proven capability across end-to-end supply chain processes, including planning, logistics, warehousing, and distribution
Demonstrated experience leading teams through change, growth, or site transformation
Strong people management skills, with clear evidence of team development and organisational build‑out
Solid understanding of GMP and regulated manufacturing environments
