Business Analyst
Location: Dublin City Centre, Hybrid, 12 Month Daily Rate Contract

About the Position
The Business Analyst will play a key role within the Business Analysis & Reporting function, supporting operational and strategic decision-making through data analysis and insight generation.
This position involves working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to analyse performance, identify trends, and deliver actionable recommendations. The successful candidate will contribute to business planning, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives while also mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse, interpret, and forecast complex datasets to support business planning
Conduct monthly variance analysis and present key insights to stakeholders
Monitor performance trends and identify drivers behind key variances
Support operational reviews through data analysis and reporting
Develop and maintain financial and operational models
Analyse KPIs across multiple business areas, including financial performance
Design and implement business solutions based on data insights
Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics
Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for internal and client stakeholders
Experience/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
(or equivalent relevant experience)
3+ years’ experience in Business, Data, or Financial Analysis
Strong experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle, Teradata)
Proven ability to analyse business processes and identify improvements
Experience documenting requirements and delivering data-driven solutions
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner
Experience working with stakeholders across business functions
Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience
Highly detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach
