OverviewDedicated Nurse Manager - Nationwide role, IrelandAs part of a client's patient support programme, the Nurse Manager will be employed by Point of Care but dedicated to one specific client. The overall responsibility of the Nurse Manager will be to provide on-boarding, education and continued support on the patient support programme(s) to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), including but not limited to:Education on the available patient support programme(s)Assistance with all available referral methodsBeing a direct point of contact for specific HCP queries on patient statusSupporting the hospitals with feedback on the service from their patientsEnsuring all activities are in line with the IPHA Code and any Data Protection regulationsPlease note: This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract part-time position requiring two weekdays per week (Monday to Friday), from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The specific working days may vary depending on business needs to meet client expectations. The role involves nationwide travel and may include overnight stays.
Key ResponsibilitiesBe an ambassador for both Point of Care and our client and always operate and communicate in a professional and personable mannerSchedule appointments with Immunology HCPs who wish to enroll patients on the patient support programme(s)Provide referral and patient support materials to units, as requestedDemonstrate the patient support programme services available to the unitsAssist the specialist units with enquiries on the patient support programmesDemonstrate the online referral portal and enable HCP access for patient referralsAssist with any online portal queries, e.g. logging in, resetting passwordFollow up with Point of Care's IT Department to resolve queries, if requiredFollow up with HCPs on patient specific queries and patient case reviewsIdentify and deliver any new or proposed service enhancements as agreed from time to time with the clientBe responsible for the training schedule of all units (new and ongoing) and work with the client on any training enhancementsDevelop strong working relationships with key specialist unitsParticipate and attend relevant conferences and meetings, as requestedDeliver non-promotional support to patients on the client's service offering(s) in a clinical and/or community settingShare feedback and discuss potential service enhancements with both the client and the Point of Care management teamPerform duties in line with all regulatory, nursing and industry standards e.g. IPHA Code of PracticePerform any other additional tasks, as required
Required Knowledge, Skills And AttributesQualified RGN and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of IrelandMinimum of 3 years post registration experience in an acute hospital settingExperience of working with Patient Support Programmes and in the area of Immunology is desirable (Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Dermatology)Experience in patient case managementCustomer service orientedExceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to educate, communicate and present while building a rapport with a range of key stakeholdersExcellent organisational skills and an effective time managerA positive ‘can-do' attitude with a high level of self-motivation, demonstrating the ability to work under own initiativeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWork to the highest clinical standards by ensuring patient safety in adhering to all relevant Standard Operating ProceduresExcellent computer skills and knowledge of databasesFull clean driver's license
