Salary €50,000 - €60,000 (DOE) + Excellent Benefits PackageYour New CompanyA nationwide leader in the provision of innovative water, wastewater and all resource recycling solutions for the municipal, industrial and commercial water sectors in Ireland, is seeking a maintenance electrician to join the team.Your New RoleThe position of Maintenance Electrician requires flexibility and availability as demanded by the needs of a continuous plant and process. You will be part of an on-call system providing electrical cover and, as a result, after-hours and weekend interaction with the plant will be a routine aspect of the job.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair electrical components, panels and systemsInstall and maintain industrial communication systems, heavy duty electrical equipmentWire up, gland, terminate pumps, motors, VSDs, circuit boards and panels, install new conduits, trays, ladders and pull new cables where necessaryProvide out of hours support to plant operations during plant start-up, running and shutdown activitiesParticipate in on-call rotaFollow all health and safety rules and regulations. Keep the work area clean, safe and orderly.Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Engineer.Be able to work in a very fast-paced environment where priorities may change regularly.Willing to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, working at heights and/or in confined spacesProblem-solving and fault-finding with MV/LV AC and LC DC switchgear and distribution systems.Management of a preventative maintenance plan on electrical equipment and systems where possible, including thermography, instrument calibration etc.Liaise with process and production personnel in relation to their issues and concerns regarding plant operation and controlWhat You'll Need to Succeed2-3 years of relevant electrical experience in a heavy industrial environmentElectrical National Craft Certificate essential.Ability to read complex electrical drawings and P&IDsSpecific experience with Rockwell / Allen Bradley Control Systems and PLCs, Endress and Hauser and ABB instrumentation, and Auma actuators is advantageous.What you'll get in returnA competitive salary of €50,000 to €65,000 (DOE) and a reward package commensurate to experience23 days/year of Annual Leave plus all the Irish bank holidays including Good Friday.Access to our defined contribution pension scheme upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.Ongoing training, leadership development programs, and access to industry-leading tools and resources.Hays Ireland is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment (Ireland) Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
