Youth Worker in Afterschool's settingJob Title: Youth Worker in after-schools settingJob Type: Part-timeSalary: €14.00 per hourThe general duties include:· The Youth Worker will work as part of a team to support our target group of young people aged 4 to 12 years. Candidates will have:Education to Level 5 in Youth and Community or other relevant field.Experience of and the ability to engage young people.Ability to work with flexibility, initiative and imagination.Hours of Work: 20 hours a week-Main Duties:· To work with a team to identify and assess the needs of young people availing of the service.· Provide quality support for young people through building positive relationships.· Provide opportunities for young people to develop communication skills, confidence and agency, resilience, relationships and emotional intelligence in a group setting.· Provide opportunities for young people to develop and improve life skills in group settings.· To attend and contribute at staff meetings.· To participate in relevant training to enhance outcomes in the role.· To attend monthly supervision with the Family and Youth Service Co-ordinator.· To follow through on projects as assigned by the Family and Youth Service Co-ordinator.· To demonstrate a respectful and empathetic approach to young people at all times.· To maintain professional boundaries with young people at all times and to work in line with child protection policies.Job Types: Part-time, PermanentPay: €14.00 per hourBenefits:On-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Dublin 8, Dublin, CO.
