We are currently seeking a Data Center Operations Electrical/Mechanical/Control Technician to join our Engineering Operations Team. The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers in AWS Cloud regions.
The technician will also be responsible for ensuring facility operations and safety procedures, and maintaining availability for customers. This role requires an individual who is proactive, self‑managed, and able to handle conflicting priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment within Data Center facilities.
* Developing work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
* Operating under minimal supervision.
* Creating and closing work orders with appropriate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used, within the asset management system.
* Maintaining changes in state in mission‑critical infrastructure to support preventive/ corrective maintenance.
* Testing product quality, performance, safety, and reliability of equipment, processes, and components.
* Acting as a front‑line responder for hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting (e.g., AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, building automation systems).

Basic Qualifications
* High school or equivalent diploma.
* Professional Electrical or Mechanical Certification (National Craft Certificate (NCC), Registered Electrical Contractor (REC), or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in data center engineering.
