A third level qualification in Construction Management and membership of a recognised professional body are prerequisites for this role.
With at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar position, you will have a proven track record in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the project management team, you will be responsible for:
* Providing expert advice on project management to the Project Director and Construction Director
* Attending critical meetings such as pre-tender and tender handover meetings
* Planning projects to ensure successful delivery and achievement of project goals
* Leading site meetings with the site team to ensure effective communication and clear expectations
* Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures among the site team
* Managing projects effectively to stay on programme and within budget
* Implementing robust risk management processes to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
* Monitoring and maintaining an efficient construction site to ensure smooth operations
* Delivering high-quality projects while adhering to QA documentation requirements
* Promoting the interests of the client and company
* Preparing and analysing progress reports, updated costs, and forecasts to inform decision-making
* Budgeting resources and planning ahead to meet project objectives
* Reviewing CVRs monthly with the project team and implementing necessary actions to improve performance
* Overseeing subcontractors to ensure adherence to company processes and procedures
* Coordinating professionals working on the project to achieve common goals
* Fostering health and safety standards by ensuring compliance with procedures and legal obligations
* Allocating health and safety responsibilities and providing training as needed
* Building and maintaining relationships with clients and external stakeholders
* Leading customer meetings and reporting on progress to keep them informed
* Minimising the impact of works on local communities
* Demonstrating strong time management and communication skills, with proficiency in computer literacy for report writing and paperwork management
