Located in the Parnell Square Cultural Quarter at the heart of Georgian Dublin, the Olivier Cornet Gallery is one of Ireland's most exciting contemporary fine art galleries. We represent accomplished Irish-based visual artists working in various media, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, fine prints, and digital art. Our gallery organizes seven or eight solo/group shows annually, along with various exhibition-related events in collaboration with other cultural workers. We are passionate about community engagement and cultural advocacy, aligning with the progressive spirit of modern commercial galleries.
Role Description
This is an on-site internship role for a Gallery Assistant, located in Dublin. The Gallery Assistant will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day tasks, including assisting with gallery administration, supporting the organization and execution of exhibitions and events, and providing excellent customer service to gallery visitors. This role also involves helping with communication efforts and maintaining a welcoming and informative environment within the gallery.
Qualifications
* Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
* Experience or interest in Gallery work and Gallery Administration
* Passion for Art and familiarity with various artistic media
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative on-site environment
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
* Knowledge of Dublin's cultural scene is a plus
