The Role
We are seeking a HV Electrical Engineer to join the site team supporting a high‑profile pharmaceutical project in Limerick. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of high‑voltage electrical systems, from installation and commissioning to ongoing maintenance, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance at all times.
Responsibilities
Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and protection relays
Develop and manage HV switching plans and safety procedures
Support routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair to maximise system uptime
Ensure compliance with electrical safety and regulatory standards within a pharmaceutical environment
Work closely with the client and internal engineering teams to deliver technically sound and efficient solutions
Promote continuous improvement and contribute to safety and operational excellence initiatives
Requirements
Degree (Level 7 or above) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
Minimum 3 years’ experience working on HV/MV systems in an industrial or regulated setting
Strong technical understanding of HV systems, ATEX, and DC power infrastructure
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical control systems and producing accurate documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
