Job Role
This is a site-based role working closely with our HR Manager and wider team to deliver a first-class HR service. You'll be the go-to person for all things people-related, supporting and coaching managers on employee relations, change management, and day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations & Support
* Provide competent, respectful, and confidential advice to employees.
* Advise and support managers with grievances, disciplinaries, absence, and performance management.
* Ensure timely distribution of relevant notes and letters.
* Manage all absence cases, including occupational health referrals and formal proceedings.
* Oversee self-certification forms and doctor's notes for sickness absences.
2. HR Operations & Administration
* Process employee data (starters, leavers, changes) and maintain records.
* Keep weekly and monthly KPI logs up to date.
* Update and input data into HRIS systems.
* Distribute HR documentation as required.
3. Change & Compliance
* Support site reorganisations, department restructures, and change initiatives.
* Interpret and advise on employment legislation.
* Prepare for and support audits.
4. Engagement, Communication & Development
* Support employee communications and engagement activities.
* Assist with development activities, including performance reviews and training needs analysis.
* Deliver recruitment, induction, onboarding, and benefits processes.
Requirements:
* Proven HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong employee relations skills and complex case management experience.
* Up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills.
* Able to influence and build relationships at all levels.
* CIPD qualification desirable.
