is recruiting a
Veterinary Surgeon
for a well-established
independent mixed practice
based in coastal Ballina, Co. Mayo. This is a genuinely varied role offering a
50:50 split between Small Animal and Large Animal work
, ideal for a vet who enjoys diversity, clinical progression, and a supportive team culture.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will enjoy a balanced caseload including
small animal consultations and surgery
, alongside a
strong large animal workload
across
cattle, dairy, and sheep
. The practice places a real emphasis on
herd health and preventive medicine
, giving you the chance to build meaningful, long-term client relationships and develop advanced skills in farm practice.
Youll be supported by an
excellent nursing and support team
, modern facilities, and
up-to-date diagnostic equipment
, including
EasiScan ultrasound
. Mentorship is a key part of the culture, with access to
certificate-holder guidance
and structured clinical support.
