Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Audit Manager to lead assurance engagements for a portfolio of clients across various industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full audit cycle, supervising audit teams, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and delivering high-quality client service. This role plays a key part in building client relationships and mentoring junior staff within our growing audit practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of audit clients, acting as the main point of contact for audit planning, execution, and finalization.
* Lead audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), local regulatory requirements, and the firm’s methodologies.
* Supervise and review the work of audit teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and timelines.
* Prepare and review financial statements, audit reports, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
* Identify and communicate audit issues to clients and provide actionable recommendations.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
* Mentor and develop junior and senior audit staff through feedback, coaching, and structured development plans.
* Assist in the development of audit tools, processes, and internal controls to improve efficiency.
* Participate in proposals and new business opportunities as needed.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
* Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, ACA) is essential.
* 5–7+ years of audit experience in a professional services or accounting firm, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP.
* Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team leadership.
* Strong project management and analytical skills.
Additional Requirements
* Experience in a mid-tier or regional accounting firm environment.
* Exposure to a broad range of industries including SMEs, family-owned businesses, and not-for-profits.
* Familiarity with audit tools such as CaseWare or equivalent.
* Working knowledge of practice management and time/billing systems.
Working Conditions:
* Role may require travel to client sites.
* Hybrid work arrangements may be available based on client needs and firm policy.
