Technical Sales Manager
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving growth and building lasting partnerships? Due to business growth we are looking for a dynamic Technical Sales Manager to identify new opportunities, develop client relationships, and help shape the future of our business. In this role, you’ll play a key part in expanding our market presence and delivering innovative solutions within our Water Division, with a particular focus on stormwater management solutions and pumping stations that meet the evolving needs of clients in the Irish market. The Technical Sales Manager is a new role within the Tricel Group. You will report directly to the Commercial Manager.
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead follow-up.
Convert leads into sales and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing.
Maintain and grow existing customer relationships.
Ensure all deals meet agreed margin targets and contribute to overall profitability.
Monitor pricing structures, cost analysis, and negotiate terms that protect margins while remaining competitive.
Build solid relationships with colleagues and coordinate functions to ensure Divisional targets are supported.
Track progress against KPIs and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Utilise a CRM system to lead the sales forecasting process to provide accurate and timely insights into future sales projections and help drive proactive decision‑making.
Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and build strategic partnerships.
Field based role with requirements to be in the office in Killarney from time to time.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience in business development or sales position.
Demonstrated ability to sell technically complex construction/mechanical industry solutions.
Experience working with contractors, consultants, or public‑sector clients.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field advantageous.
Ability to make informed decisions to ensure optimal commercial outcomes.
Experience using HubSpot or other CRM platforms to achieve success.
Ability to travel nationally and occasionally internationally as part of the role.
