Our client, a leading international reinsurance organisation, is seeking an experienced Head of Balance Sheet Optimisation to join their growing Dublin-based team.
This is a senior leadership role within a newly established ALM & Balance Sheet Management function, offering the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide balance sheet strategy, capital efficiency, and commercial decision-making across a complex global portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and embedding of a best-in-class balance sheet optimisation capability
Drive enterprise-wide ALM and balance sheet strategy across capital, liquidity, earnings and investments
Develop and enhance optimisation analytics, modelling capabilities and reporting frameworks
Partner with senior stakeholders across Investments, Finance, Risk and Actuarial
Represent the function at executive committees and key strategic forums
Requirements
Qualified Actuary with 10+ years post qualification experience
Strong experience across ALM, investment risk, capital management or balance sheet optimisation
Exposure to reinsurance or complex insurance environments
Experience with modelling and analytics tools such as Python, SQL, Prophet, R or Power BI
Strong commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
