Position Overview
The Head of Transfer Agency Product and Business Development role is responsible for defining and executing State Street’s strategy for Transfer Agency across regions. The role reports to the Global Head of TA Product and works globally with clients who use State Street transfer agency services. The incumbent will manage and grow the business to expand wallet share, drive growth through organic and inorganic expansion, and serve as a senior member of the Luxembourg management team.
Primary Responsibilities
Build and execute State Street engagement strategy for the TA products across regions regardless of the different service models and interaction with distribution platforms.
Help shape and design product capabilities that will allow State Street to materially expand market share by being the partner of choice for clients.
Work in conjunction with the Commercial Organization and Country Heads to identify new business with existing clients and prospect clients to drive growth.
Defend and grow the Transfer Agency and Funds Trading Services business by addressing capability gaps and improving sales force effectiveness.
Serve as State Street’s “face to the market” for Transfer Agency.
Target clients currently at competitors or insourced with pre-emptive bids and bold outsourcing proposals, in cooperation with the State Street sales force and relationship managers.
Work with global product and operational teams to influence and drive product improvement, innovation, and new capabilities to keep the firm competitive and in an optimal position to win business globally.
Increase State Street’s market reputation as a leader of Transfer Agency and Funds Trading Services products.
Drive a solution‑driven, client‑centric culture.
Serve as a senior leader based in Luxembourg and be a member of the Business Management Committee, the most senior local governing body in the country.
Act as the spokesperson for the TA business in Luxembourg through participation in ALFI working groups and other market initiatives.
Contribute to the improvement of employee engagement at the location.
When needed, face regulators to discuss specific TA challenges and developments.
Minimum Qualifications
15+ years of experience desirable.
Depth of experience in TA required; either from asset servicing, Big‑4 consulting, or directly within asset‑management companies or institutional investors.
Strong industry network.
