Due to expansion, McGreals Pharmacy are recruiting a Financial Controller / Accountant.The Role:The purpose of this role is to manage financial records, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, support budgeting processes and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the finance team to deliver objectives.Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports.Maintain accurate ledgers and financial records.Support monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with Irish & European regulations.Prepare forecasts, financial plans and monthly management accounts.Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the organisation operates within it banking facilities.Coordinating and leading the External Audit process.Implement and maintain internal financial controls.Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.Organising training for accounts team to ensure best practice.Overview the payroll function as required.Supporting the Director of Finance with :Costing for current and future services.Agreeing Service Level Agreements.Managing financial risks.Qualifications & The Ideal personBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Professional certification preferred (ACCA, ACA).5 years experience in an accounting or finance role.Experience with accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong organisational skills.Team player - contributes positively to the achievement of team objectives.This role is based within the accounts department but you will be liaising & working with cross functional teams & pharmacies.Ability to work on your own initiative and within tight deadlines.Job Type: Full-timePay: €60,000.00 per yearBenefits:Additional leaveBike to work schemeCompany pensionEmployee assistance programEmployee discountOn-site parkingSick payAbility to commute/relocate:Primary Care, Blessington, CO.
