Job Overview
A Cost Management Specialist is required for a leading consultancy in Dublin. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in dealing with subcontractors and clients, as well as exceptional computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Quantity Surveying Packages.
Key Responsibilities
* Pre-contract cost control and advice to design teams & clients
* Pre-contract document preparation
* All post contract functions including interim recommendations, cost reporting, client meetings, final account reconciliations on a diverse range of projects
* Estimating & cost planning – reporting directly to clients
* Preparing bills of quantities, compiling contract documentation, preparing cost reports, preparing monthly valuations, preparation and agreement of final accounts, review and resolve contractual claims, attend meetings with clients and design team members
* Training and development of assistant and junior quantity surveyors as part of team structure
Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying
* 8-10 years of professional experience with a proven track record in dealing with subcontractors and clients
* Computer literate in Microsoft Office and other quantity surveying packages
