The E-Commerce Logistics & Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of e-commerce logistics operations across fulfilment, transportation, returns, carrier management, and operational reporting activities.
Acting as the central coordination point between warehouses, carriers, 3PL partners, customer service teams, account managers, finance, and internal stakeholders, the role ensures orders are dispatched efficiently, shipments are tracked accurately, operational issues are resolved promptly, and reporting and invoicing activities are completed accurately.
This position enables the E-Commerce Logistics Manager to focus on strategic logistics initiatives, carrier performance, network optimisation, capacity planning, and service improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
Logistics & Fulfilment Operations
Coordinate daily order dispatch across all e-commerce fulfilment channels.
Monitor shipping schedules and service levels to ensure on-time delivery performance.
Coordinate carrier collections and warehouse dispatch activities.
Support operational planning during peak trading periods, promotions, and seasonal events.
Escalate capacity constraints, delays, and operational risks where required.
Carrier & 3PL Management
Serve as the day-to-day operational contact for carriers, freight providers, and logistics partners.
Coordinate shipment bookings, collections, delivery updates, and service issues.
Monitor carrier performance and proactively identify service risks, delays, and recurring failures. Ensure Customer Service teams and Account Managers are informed of customer-impacting issues, with clear resolution plans, timelines, and regular progress updates until closure.
Support onboarding of new carriers and operational process improvements.
Shipment Tracking & Exception Resolution
Monitor shipment visibility and tracking platforms.
Investigate delayed deliveries, failed shipments, and customer-impacting logistics issues.
Coordinate resolution with warehouses, carriers, customer service teams, and external partners.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and corrective actions.
Inbound & Reverse Logistics
Coordinate inbound deliveries with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse teams.
Monitor inbound shipment progress and communicate delays or issues.
Support returns processing and reverse logistics activities.
Track return volumes, turnaround times, and service performance.
Systems, Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate logistics data across TMS, WMS, ERP, and carrier systems.
Produce regular operational and KPI reports.
Monitor shipment, carrier, inventory, and cost-related data accuracy.
Support month-end reporting, carrier reconciliations, supplier invoicing, client billing, and logistics cost analysis in partnership with the E-Commerce Logistics Manager and Finance team.
Support process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, automation projects, and the effective use of AI tools to improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and productivity.
Stakeholder Communication
Act as a key liaison between logistics, warehouse operations, customer service, inventory, supply chain teams, account managers, and finance.
Provide timely updates on shipment status, operational risks, service issues, and resolution effective communication between internal teams and external logistics partners.
Success Metrics
Orders dispatched on time and within agreed service levels.
Shipment issues identified, communicated, and resolved quickly.
Customer Service teams, Account Managers, and stakeholders kept informed of customer-impacting logistics issues.
Accurate logistics data, reporting, invoicing support, and system administration.
Returns processed efficiently and within agreed timelines.
Positive contribution to operational improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
Strong collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, carriers, and logistics partners.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
Essential
2–4 years' experience in logistics, fulfilment, transportation, supply chain, or e-commerce operations.
Experience working with carriers, freight providers, or 3PL partners.
Strong organisational and coordination skills.
Experience using logistics systems (TMS, WMS, ERP, or similar).
Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis functions, reporting, and reconciliation of large data sets.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Desirable
Experience within e-commerce, retail, distribution, or fulfilment operations.
Exposure to logistics KPI reporting and operational performance analysis.
Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, reporting, process automation, and operational efficiency.
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as CILT, APICS/ASCM, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent are advantageous.
