This role demands a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in finance. The ideal candidate will bring innovative ideas to optimize processes and possess a substantial background in financial reporting and sales compensation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the calculation of monthly and quarterly accruals, ensuring precision and consistency.Review and adjust accruals based on updated financial data and insights.Conduct comprehensive month-end reconciliations to guarantee accuracy in financial reporting.Interpret and analyze commission data to ensure timely and accurate payments.Collaborate with the finance team to align reporting strategies with overarching financial objectives.Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports on metrics and performance.Develop, maintain, and refine financial reporting structures and policies to enhance efficiency.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies, proactively addressing potential issues.Provide strategic insights and recommendations to improve financial reporting processes and systems.Ensure compliance with sales compensation policies and SOX requirements and maintain supporting documentsPartner with cross-functional teams regularly to build constructive relationship and drive continuous cross-functional process improvementParticipate in User Acceptance Test for system plan implementation and updatesProvide support for any ad hoc business requirementsRequired Skills And QualificationsMaster’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.2-5 years of progressive experience in finance, financial reporting, sales compensation, or a related role.Deep knowledge of accrual accounting and financial reconciliation processes.Experience with commission calculations.Proficiency in advanced financial software and analytical tools, such as Excel, ERP systems, and financial databases.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage large datasets effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Experience in a high-growth, sales-driven organization.Track record of providing innovative solutions and driving process improvements.More About SkillsoftSkillsoft delivers online learning, training, and talent solutions to help organizations unleash their edge.
