Seeking a highly skilled Site Financial Controller to join our team as a key member of the finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with accounting policies and standards.
About the Role:
* We are looking for an experienced professional who can analyze production costs and material variances, ensure standard costs are maintained and implemented across the product range, and drive site Gross margin and Non-productive spend initiatives.
The successful candidate will have experience in implementing and maintaining strong financial controls, be proficient in Microsoft suite and ERP systems, and have knowledge of local legislation and cost accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain a robust financial control framework to ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.
2. Analyze production costs and material variances to identify areas for improvement.
3. Drive site Gross margin and Non-productive spend initiatives to optimize financial performance.
4. Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets in line with the published timetable.
5. Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory counts and detailed analyses of results.
6. Manage and develop finance team members, identifying and driving improvements in accounting systems and processes.
Requirements:
* Candidate must hold a Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) qualification.
* Previous manufacturing and industry experience required.
* Proactive problem solver with proven ability to manage integration projects and motivate employees.
* Strong knowledge of local legislation and cost accounting processes/implementation experience.
* Highly proficient with Microsoft suite and previous experience/knowledge of ERP systems.
