Equipment Engineer II
About Your New Job
Support the Design Assurance Lab by introducing new test methods and implementing associated test hardware and software.
Design, procure, develop, and validate lab equipment, fixtures, and tooling to meet evolving project needs.
Create basic scripts or software programs to automate test processes for improved efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring best practices for test methods and consistency in strategies across Operating Units and New Product Development projects.
Identify technology and equipment upgrades to drive ongoing lab improvements.
Lead and support root cause analysis for issues, driving problem-solving and ensuring corrective actions meet reliability and compliance requirements.
Coordinate with projects to complete Test Method Validation and support the broader team on deliverables and project activities.
What Skills You Need
Minimum Level 8 Degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline.
At least 2 years' relevant industry experience (medical devices or other regulated sector preferred).
Experience in equipment design, verification, and validation (IQ, OQ, etc.) within regulated industries is desirable.
Familiarity with CAD is advantageous.
Proven ability to resolve issues independently and support/mentor team members to instil best practices.
Strong communication in English, high motivation, and enthusiasm.
Good organizational, presentation, and project management skills are desirable.
