Job Title: Resource Teacher Permanent Contract, 15 hours per week Location: Unit 7, IDA Industrial Estate, Cork Rd, Waterford About the Role: Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team the Resource Teacher is responsible for meeting the needs of Service Users in the area of remedial and compensatory education e.g. literacy and numeracy. What We're Looking For: * Teaching degree, H Dip or equivalent * Qualification recognized by Department of Education, registration with the teaching council. * Experience in delivering literacy and/or numeracy training * Experience working with people with disabilities Your Responsibilities: * Meeting the educational needs of each service user through the provision of basic remedial and compensatory education in accordance with their identified individual needs. * Participating as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the identification of service user needs and the planning of individually focused rehabilitation programmes. * Carrying out the work of teaching and the general work of training under the guidance of the Manager, providing support for individuals in line with their Individual Action Plan. * Setting up and maintaining all records necessary for the effective monitoring of service user progress and adhering to internal and external certification requirements on an ongoing basis. Producing reports on same, as required. If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign.
