We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Cork. This exciting opportunity will involve supporting the growth of our company and working closely with our Group Engineering Director.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing secondary steel design for MEP services on a range of small and large-scale projects, collaborating with clients and the supply chain to ensure project success from inception to handover.
* Liaise with Project Managers during design development to construction stages ensuring proposed services support systems comply with all regulations and requirements.
* Carry out preliminary designs, including structural checks on proposed support systems, secondary steelwork fixings, service fixings, and hangars. Ensure the impact of secondary steelwork load is within primary structure capacity.

* Temporary works design in conjunction with site Temporary Works teams
* Come up with an assessment plan regarding placing AHU's or other large plant over atriums. The role requires close coordination between teams involved in these processes: Structual Supervisor Construction Stage Team, Safety Manager etc
