Sous Chef Job Opportunity
* We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Ashford Castle. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in providing exceptional food quality, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
* As a key member of our brigade, you will be responsible for upholding and consistently executing all kitchen SOPs and standards. This will include supporting the Executive Head Chef in leading the team, delivering top-quality dishes, and achieving target GP.
* The ideal candidate for this role will be a motivated and driven individual with significant previous experience in a similar function. They will have excellent communication and team leadership skills, as well as the ability to handle pressurised situations and busy periods.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a luxury hotel or restaurant environment.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and guests.
* Ability to maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
* Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts and respond to changing priorities.
