Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's health and safety policies, procedures, and practices.
Responsibilities:
* Liaise with the Project Manager and Contracts Manager to ensure effective communication and coordination of health and safety activities.
* Manage, update, and maintain the company's health and safety policies and procedures.
* Develop all health and safety plans, highlighting any specific requirements for each project.
* Coordinate all health and safety activities on various sites.
* Manage and coordinate Health and Safety Officers and Advisors, maintaining a clear line of communication.
* Ensure regular site visits and inspections are completed, and relevant paperwork is maintained.
* Record, investigate, and action plan for future incidents and accidents.
* Liaise with internal and external auditors regarding health and safety processes within the company.
* Prepare and coordinate training for all employees, ensuring they are up to date.
* Attend meetings with Senior Management, Site Meetings, and Chair Health and Safety Meetings.
* Maintain extremely high standards throughout the company at all times.
Requirements:
* BSc in Health and Safety or Higher Diploma SHWW/Diploma SHWW.
* 5+ years of experience in the Construction Industry.
* Able to manage a Health and Safety team.
* Excellent communicator.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish Health and Safety legislation.
* Pro-active and self-motivated.
* Confident use of Microsoft Office.
* Full driving license.
