Job Opportunity:
An experienced Quantity Surveyor is sought by a well-established Cost and Project Management Consultancy to join their team in Donegal. This company delivers expert commercial and cost advice across various sectors, including residential, commercial, education, and healthcare.
Responsibilities:
Pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties across multiple projects are to be managed. Detailed cost plans, tender documentation, and procurement strategies are to be prepared. Value engineering reviews are to be conducted, and commercial input at design stages is required. Project budgets are to be monitored, variations assessed, and interim and final accounts prepared. Liaison with clients, contractors, and design teams is necessary for clear communication and cost control. Site visits and progress meetings are attended, reporting on project financials and forecasts. Junior team members are supported, and best practices promoted.
Requirements:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is required. Approximately 6 years of professional experience within a cost consultancy or project management environment is necessary. A proven track record of delivering projects across various sectors is required. Strong technical knowledge of construction costs, procurement methods, and contracts is essential. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills are required. Proficiency in cost management software is necessary. Working towards or holding chartership (SCSI/RICS) is desirable. Flexible working arrangements are considered.
