Parker Stewart are delighted to partner with a leading multinational manufacturer in their search for a Mine Manager. This role will suit someone with a background in underground mining, who enjoys managing production projects, and working closely with on-site teams and external contractors.
Key Duties:
Oversee all aspects of mine operations - safety, environmental performance, production, maintenance, and quality to ensure full compliance with legal and company standards
Create and execute short and long term mining plans, including extraction methods, workforce and equipment scheduling, and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and safety
Champion continuous improvement and WCM initiatives by analysing performance losses, enhancing productivity (including OEE), and driving a proactive safety culture
Manage financial performance through effective budgeting, cost control, capital project delivery, and accurate operational reporting, while maintaining strong links with community groups and regulatory bodies
Lead and manage employee relations and foster clear communication and engagement across all mine teams
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field essential for this role
Excellent mining industry experience, including senior supervisory and leadership skills
Hands-on experience in both underground and surface (open-pit) mining operations
Formal training and proven capability in project delivery, cost management, and operational planning
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities, with a history of successfully running complex mining operations and leading large teams
