Financial Accountant Position
A financial accountant is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the general accounting of French entities. The accountant will work with USGAAP standards, making entries and filing annual accounts according to French standards.
About the Role
1. Enter manual journal entries in the ERP system on a monthly basis before the 2nd working day of the following month.
2. Review and analyze monthly transactions and balances of French entities based on USGAAP standards.
3. Participate in monthly closings according to USGAAP standards through entries, analyses, and reporting.
4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts in the reconciliation tool (ARCS) according to the predetermined schedule.
5. File declarations and pay taxes as required by legal and fiscal obligations.
6. Perform annual closing operations and accounting closing in accordance with French standards.
7. Respond to requests during internal, external, and statutory audits.
8. Prepare and validate the tax package and legal file for general meetings.
9. Assist the Accounting Manager during absences or unavailability.
10. Support project management for improvements and supervise team members.
11. Translate USGAAP balances into French standards and reconcile any differences.
12. Calculate and reconcile deferred taxes and manage temporary differences between USGAAP and French books.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree with significant experience of 5-10 years.
* Fluent French and English language skills.
* Advanced Excel skills including SUMIF, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP.
* Dual-book accounting principles knowledge (USGAAP and French standards).
* Deferred taxes experience.
* ORACLE experience an asset.
* Rigorous person with time management and task prioritization skills.
* Sense of observation, process optimization, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
