About the Role
Join a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturer as an
Automation Engineer
, supporting the performance, reliability, and compliance of automation systems across GMP operations.
You will maintain and optimize site automation infrastructure, lead improvement initiatives, and contribute to global automation strategies to standardize and modernize manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee automation systems to ensure
maximum uptime and performance
.
Manage
system user access, backups, and restores
.
Implement
corrective actions
and work closely with
vendor technical support
.
Identify, plan, and execute
small-scale projects
to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
Support
capital planning, project execution
, and ensure proper documentation.
Ensure all activities align with
site and corporate Quality Systems
.
Create and maintain
engineering deliverables, documentation, and test scripts
.
Support development and implementation of
global automation strategies
, driving process standardization.
Maintain and optimize
automation systems and supporting infrastructure
.
Develop automation solutions tailored to
manufacturing environments
.
Lead automation projects, ensuring
cost, schedule, and technical objectives
are met.
Stay current with
technology trends and industry benchmarks
to keep the organization at the forefront of automation.
Required Skills & Experience
Degree in
Engineering
(Automation, Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent).
Minimum
5 years of experience in GMP manufacturing
with strong automation expertise.
Broad understanding of
pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
and
regulatory environments
.
Experience with automation platforms such as
Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi
, etc.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards:
GAMP, ANSI/ISA, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11
, and GxP/QA.
Familiarity with
ISPE standards
is advantageous.
Strong
problem-solving, analytical
, and
data analysis
capabilities.
Ability to perform effectively in a
team-based culture
, collaborating with internal departments and
Global Automation
teams.
Contribution to

, strategic planning, and
