Job DescriptionAbbVie Westport is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our dynamic team.
This pivotal position is responsible for leading the Batch Release Process and driving manufacturing excellence through proactive leadership and effective cross-functional collaboration.Key Responsibilities:Lead the Batch Release Process and ensure timely release of batches as requiredSupport Process Teams, Paperwork Review Technicians, and production operations related to the on-hold processSchedule Batch Release meetings and coordinate with all impacted departmentsCommunicate updates regarding weekly PI and Shipping PlansOversee manufacturing training, maintain and update documentation, and facilitate workshopsManage the receipt, evaluation, investigation, and resolution of product complaints in compliance with regulatory requirements, AbbVie policies, and quality standardsCoordinate and participate in meetings to provide support across all aspects of the Batch Release processCollaborate with peers to improve efficiencies and address challenges as neededTrack and monitor Process Team GTW records to support Batch Release metricsDemonstrate commitment to Continuous Improvement initiatives within the Core 1 Business UnitManage Paperwork Reviewers and Training Specialists to ensure smooth workflow and training complianceQualifications Bachelor's degree (or relevant 3rd level qualification) in a scientific, chemical, or related disciplineProven experience in direct people managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaborationOutstanding planning, organizational, and relationship-building abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Global TrackWise preferredDemonstrated sound judgment and decision-making skills in fast-paced environmentsAbility to handle conflicts effectivelySelf-directed, highly motivated, and skilled in multitasking and prioritizingUnderstanding of GMP regulations; experience in biologics manufacturing is an advantageAdditional InformationApply today and embark on a rewarding career where your leadership and skills make a real impactAbbVie is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to operating with integrity, driving innovation, transforming lives and serving our community.
