A long-standing, independent mixed practice in County Mayo is now seeking a Farm Animal Vet to join their close-knit team of five vets. This is primarily a farm animal-focused position, with the flexibility to get involved in companion animal work if desired. The practice is proud of its low turnover, team-first culture, and continued investment in both its people and equipment.

What you’ll be doing
Clinical cattle work across progressive and traditional farms
Seasonal sheep cases and preventative health care
TB testing and involvement in Herd Health/TASAH programs
Bull fertility testing
Supported use of IMV Easi-scan and in-house faecal testing (Ovacyte)
Optional small animal work includes
Digital X-ray, ultrasound, dentistry, and in-house lab
Appointment-based consults with full Teleos records
Support from a skilled veterinary nursing team

Salary starting at €40,000 (commensurate with experience), paid 4-weekly

Confident in farm animal care – or keen to develop with support
VCI-registered (or eligible) and ERAD compliant
