A long-standing, independent mixed practice in County Mayo is now seeking a Farm Animal Vet to join their close-knit team of five vets. If you're looking for more clinical autonomy, a varied caseload, and a supportive environment where your development and wellbeing genuinely matter, this could be the perfect role for you.
This is primarily a farm animal-focused position, with the flexibility to get involved in companion animal work if desired. The practice is proud of its low turnover, team-first culture, and continued investment in both its people and equipment.

What you’ll be doing:
Clinical cattle work across progressive and traditional farms
Seasonal sheep cases and preventative health care
TB testing and involvement in Herd Health/TASAH programs
Bull fertility testing
Supported use of IMV Easi-scan and in-house faecal testing (Ovacyte)
Optional small animal work includes:
Digital X-ray, ultrasound, dentistry, and in-house lab
Appointment-based consults with full Teleos records
Support from a skilled veterinary nursing team
What’s on offer:
Salary starting at €40,000 (commensurate with experience), paid 4-weekly

Shared 1-in-5 OOH rota (for experienced candidates) – genuinely fair and supported
20 days annual leave plus a Wednesday off after your weekend on call
