About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Warehouse Floor Manager
to take ownership of daily warehouse operations, lead a motivated floor team, and ensure smooth, efficient, and safe workflow management.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations Supervision
Lead and manage the warehouse team on the floor, ensuring tasks are allocated and completed efficiently.
Oversee picking, packing, and loading operations to meet delivery schedules.
Monitor staff performance to achieve quality and productivity targets.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse floor in line with health & safety regulations.
Goods in planning, robust plans around seasonality and acceptance and boking or new stock.
Ensuring all processes are designed to meet the warehouse KPI's, i.e. delivery picking, stock barcoding, volume of stock delivered and returns.
Staff Leadership & Coordination
Allocate daily duties (loading, picking, driving, general warehouse tasks) to team members.
Staff allocation and roster planning.
Provide direction, motivation, and support to warehouse staff.
Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and staff discipline.
Train and mentor staff in floor operations, ensuring compliance with company processes.
Communication & Reporting
Report operational issues, delays, or shortages to the senior management/ director
Liaise with the Operations Manager on stock-related matters impacting stores.
Provide daily updates on productivity, order fulfilment, and floor performance.
Liaise closely with the stock control team for delivery allocations and inventory maintenance.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and legal requirements.
Enforce safe use of forklifts, vehicles, and equipment.
Conduct basic safety checks and escalate risks or hazards immediately.
Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution
Resolve operational issues on the floor (e.g., incorrect picks, loading conflicts).
Escalate larger issues to management with clear documentation.
Adapt workflows to meet changing priorities and urgent delivery needs.
The Right Person for the Role
We are looking for someone who:
Has 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a management role managing a team of 10 or more.
Possesses strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in managing competing priorities.
Has excellent communication skills to liaise across teams and management.
Process driven.
Remains calm under pressure and can resolve operational challenges quickly.
Has a strong understanding of health & safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
Holds a valid forklift license (advantageous but not essential).
