CNM3–Operating Theatre

Essential:
* RGN
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Recognised qualification in Operating Department
Nursing
* Five years post registration operating theatre experience.
* Minimum of two years in a management position at C.N.M. 2 level or equivalent.
* Up to date knowledge of care planning for perioperative patients.
* Understanding and application of research.
* Clinical/nursing audit methods.
* Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) regulatory function.
* National Maternity Strategy
* National ,Standards for Safer Better Maternity Care (HIQA)
* Knowledge of Midwifery & Nursing Educational Programmes
* Knowledge of workload measurement tools and skill mix
* Scope of professional practice.
* Mandatory training, NRP, STABLE, BLS, Fire
* Experience in preceptoring students / new staff.
* Children's First
* Knowledge of value of IT systems
