We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Compliance Specialist to join our team in Newry.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting international growth and ensuring robust financial compliance across multiple territories.
Your new role The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for setting up and managing compliance and accounting frameworks for new European entities as the business expands.
This includes overseeing VAT, payroll, statutory compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
The role is ideal for someone with experience in multi-jurisdictional accounting and a strong understanding of European regulatory environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain accounting and compliance processes for new European entities
* Prepare and submit VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions
* Manage payroll processes in line with local regulations
* Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements
* Liaise with external advisors and local authorities as needed
* Support month-end and year-end close processes
* Assist with audit preparation and respond to audit queries
* Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and controls
What you'll need to succeed:
* Proven experience in European accounting and compliance setup
* Strong knowledge of VAT, payroll, and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions
* Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across team
