Who we’re looking for
This is a hands-on position responsible for delivering key aspects of the HR function.
The candidate will play a crucial role in the success of the organization by leading and supporting Caregiver Recruitment (interviews), probation management, absence management, employee relations, compliance, Caregiver training, retention initiatives, and ensuring all employee records are up to date and compliant.
Traits & Abilities of Successful Candidate
* Ability to work closely with the National office HR Team in implementing HR projects and policies at local offices.
* Work closely with the GM & Operations Manager, providing HR/ER guidance for Caregiver issues.
* 3-4 years of experience as HR Administrator, Generalist, Specialist, or Coordinator.
* Understanding of the HomeCare/Healthcare sector in Ireland (preferred).
* High accuracy and attention to detail.
* Innovative mindset and ability to implement new initiatives.
* Strong organizational and administrative skills.
* Respect for confidentiality where appropriate.
What You'll Do
Recruitment
* Conduct second-round face-to-face interviews with pre-screened candidates.
* Ensure timely onboarding and shift assignment for new recruits.
* Support National Hiring Week events.
Employee Relations
* Serve as the point of contact for employee queries and issues.
* Manage offboarding processes, including return of equipment and exit interviews.
* Monitor and manage sickness and unplanned absences.
* Maintain and improve employee relations, staff benefits, morale, and retention initiatives.
* Assist with investigations, grievances, disciplinary hearings, and formal meetings.
Employee Retention
* Manage Caregiver probation process, seeking feedback to improve procedures.
* Develop an employee engagement calendar.
* Oversee mid-year and annual appraisals.
* Coordinate engagement events and promote surveys.
HR Administration
* Maintain employee files in compliance with employment law and standards.
* Ensure HR policies and procedures are current and staff compliance is monitored.
