A global leader in advanced design technologies is looking to hire a Digital Design Engineer to join their R&D team in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in digital design while working on innovative silicon IP used in next-generation automotive systems.
You'll be part of a collaborative team contributing to the development of secure and safety-critical automotive solutions, including technologies used in EVs, autonomous systems, and connected vehicles.
As a Digital Design Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers across architecture, software, and verification, supporting the development and integration of complex hardware features aligned with emerging safety and cybersecurity requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
* Contributing to the design and implementation of digital hardware blocks for automotive applications.
* Supporting the definition and development of RTL designs using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
* Assisting in functional verification and test development in collaboration with internal teams.
* Helping to document design decisions and maintain traceability to project-level requirements.
* Gaining exposure to functional safety and cybersecurity concepts within an ISO-compliant development flow.
What We're Looking For
* A degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
* Strong understanding of digital design fundamentals and RTL coding.
* Exposure to, or interest in, functional safety or embedded security is a plus.
* Familiarity with the ASIC design flow and a willingness to grow in a structured, high-quality engineering environment.
* Ideally, some hands-on experience through internships, academic projects, or commercial roles in ASIC/FPGA design.
This is an ideal role for an engineer with some industry experience looking to grow into a more specialised position within the automotive semiconductor space.
