The Senior Occupational Therapist will work as part of the Occupational Therapy team at St. Francis Hospice Dublin working in close collaboration with other multi-disciplinary team members across the different services (In-Patient unit, Outpatients and Day service and in the Community)
The person must...
* Be CORU registered
* Have a minimum of 3 years full time (or equivalent) recent post graduate experience, 1 of which must have been in a hospice setting/ acute hospital setting and/ or primary care
* Demonstrate a high level of competency in completing functional and seating assessments
* Demonstrate expertise in complex discharge planning and risk assessment
* Have excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
* Experience in the areas of service development and quality improvement initiatives
* Experience providing professional supervision
* Evidence of continuing professional development, relevant to palliative care
* Full driving licence
* Experience with teaching and research.
* Experience in symptom management education
