Position: Quality Control Technician (Full-Time, Permanent)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday, 14:30 - 01:00
Pay Range: €14.70/hour (€29,328/year)
Breaks: 30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid
Responsibilities
1. Maintain audit standards and ensure food safety, quality, and integrity throughout production.
2. Conduct line audits and verify product quality against QAS, ensuring documentation is complete.
3. Facilitate taste panels and perform scheduled GMP, hygiene, glass/brittle plastic, and CCP audits.
4. Collaborate with production to resolve issues, prevent recurrence, and drive improvements.
5. Calibrate key food safety equipment.
6. Manage NCRs, ensuring timely closure with evidence.
7. Support quality investigations and report findings.
8. Perform post-clean inspections using ATP and allergen swabbing.
9. File retained samples for audits and complaints.
10. Oversee microbiological testing of products, environment, and water.
11. Review batch records and follow up on out-of-spec results.
12. Conduct internal audits per the Quality Management System.
13. Monitor ingredient shelf life and batch rotation.
14. Enforce hygiene and allergen policies.
15. Identify training needs to uphold quality standards.
16. Verify product barcoding and allergen procedures.
17. Implement and review corrective actions.
Technical and Industry Knowledge
* Experience in Food/FMCG industry
* Food Safety Level 2 (Essential)
* HACCP Level 2 (Essential)
* Allergen and pest awareness
* Good GMP Audit Practice knowledge
* Experience with internal audits
* Numerical skills and gap analysis understanding
