A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Materials Engineer to join our client, a global leader in innovation.
The Role
You will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and improve products.
Key Responsibilities
* Test and analyse materials (rubber, plastics, and steel) to meet performance specifications and regulations.
* Assemble and build jigs, moulds, and prototypes to support development.
* Set up and conduct material tests using tools such as pneumatics, data loggers, and 3D FDM printing.
* Document test results, maintain detailed records, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.
Requirements
A Level 8 degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required. Key skills include knowledge of material properties and testing methods, strong analytical skills and attention to detail, proficiency in Excel and technical documentation, and hands-on experience in prototyping, assembling, and jig/mould building.
