To support this launch, the EMEA Accounting team in Cork is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst, to support local statutory compliance and US GAAP reporting.
Key job responsibilities
Responsible for month end close activities including reviews, balance sheet reconciliations and analytics
Business partnering with other Amazon teams, including Finance, Treasury, Tax, Public Relations, Transfer Pricing and Corporate Legal
Collaborating with global Accounting teams to identify opportunities for enhanced standardization
Preparation of high quality financial statements across a range of accounting frameworks
Preparation of statutory trial balances including identification and posting of local GAAP adjustments
Supporting external audit process
Demonstrating strong technical accounting acumen to be able to conclude on accounting treatment for complex business related transactions
Being a strong team player, who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, taking ownership and demonstrating self-initiative

Qualifications
Experience with accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization
Certified accountant qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Knowledge of IFRS or other accounting frameworks
Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – Experience managing multiple projects with competing schedules
