A leading broadcast organisation in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Broadcast Engineer to step into a pivotal “number two” role within their engineering team, with a clear progression path toward becoming Head of Engineering as part of long-term succession planning. As the company transitions from traditional SDI to a hybrid IP infrastructure, they are looking for someone eager to take on more responsibility, contribute to high-level technical design, and play a key role in shaping the future of their broadcast operations. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, contribute to R&D and solution architecture, and gain exposure to major industry events such as IBC, offering strong progression, visibility and influence.

Responsibilities:
Provide 1st and 2nd line engineering support across video, audio, and streaming environmentsManage upgrades, kit replacement, and infrastructure improvements including archive system refreshesSupport live transmission operations and ensure technical continuityContribute to design and implementation of new hybrid IP solutionsWork closely with senior management on technical strategy and solution designAssist in team leadership and gradually take on increased responsibility with a view to stepping into the Head of Engineering role over time
Skills/Must have:
Strong digital video and digital audio engineering experienceProven IP broadcast knowledge, including ST 211010+ years’ experience in the broadcast industryDesire and capability to step into a leadership roleFull clean driving licence
Nice to have:
Software development background or exposure to broadcast-related codingOperational broadcast experienceExperience with NDI, Dante, or relevant certifications
