JOB SUMMARY:
The Field Service Engineer provides engineering support with the installation, maintenance, and ongoing service of the company's range of medical equipment in accordance with field procedures. The role requires a high level of technical skill and the ability to liaise effectively with customers. Equipment includes CT (Computed Tomography), Digital X-Ray for General Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Dexa, Dental, and Veterinary systems.
The successful candidate will be an established problem solver with excellent communication and social skills, capable of working under pressure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Report to the Field Service Manager and form a key link in the company's service team.
* Provide service, repair, installation, and maintenance of the company's systems.
* Work independently using advanced fault-finding techniques.
* Liaise with customers via phone or remote support.
* Deliver quality service with a focus on first-time fix.
* Ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.
* Monitor equipment performance, identify issues, and find solutions.
* Report sales opportunities to the sales department.
* Respond to emergency breakdowns.
* Attend technical training as required.
* Support and advise customers on the company's install base and build strong relationships.
* Provide feedback to the service department.
* Participate in out-of-hours support, remotely or on-site.
* Travel and stay overnight as needed within Ireland and abroad.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
* Knowledge of digital X-ray equipment and medical devices is desirable but not essential.
* Experience with PC hardware and software installation.
* Knowledge of Windows 7 and 10.
* Understanding of networking and DICOM protocols.
* HND or degree level education is desirable but not essential.
