Role Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Manager to lead our construction schemes in Dublin and the wider Leinster region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Management: Manage day-to-day operations on site, ensuring smooth execution of construction activities.
* Team Coordination: Coordinate and supervise site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet programme and cost targets.
* Safety Compliance: Oversee all health, safety, and environmental compliance on site.
* Project Progress: Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure work aligns with design specifications and quality standards.
* Communication: Liaise with the project team, clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
* Reporting: Provide regular updates and reporting to Project Director or Contracts Manager.
Requirements:
* Educational Background: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Experience: Minimum 7+ years' experience in site/project management with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Subcontractor Management: Proven track record in managing subcontractors and driving site performance.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Excellent understanding of Irish building regulations and health & safety practices.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software and reporting tools.
