About the Role
We are building a serverless edge compute platform — Lambda-style, but on Telnyx global edge network with VM-level isolation. You will help scale from 1 cluster to 8+, unblock the team on networking and security, and build the foundation for AI-first compute.
What You Will Do
* Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (RKE2/Rancher) across multiple cloud providers
* Build and maintain WireGuard VPN tunnels connecting Telnyx to isolated edge clusters
* Own Ansible automation for cluster provisioning and configuration
* Manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform/OpenTofu (DigitalOcean, Zenlayer, bare metal)
* Build out Prometheus metrics pipelines for billing and observability
* Harden security: network policies, firewall rules, air-gapping compliance
What You Bring
* 3+ years hands-on Kubernetes in production
* Strong networking fundamentals (VPNs, firewalls, NAT, routing)
* Infrastructure-as-code experience (Ansible, Terraform)
* Linux systems administration
* Security mindset — you think about attack surfaces
Nice to Have
* Firecracker, Kata Containers, or microVM isolation
* KNative or serverless infrastructure
* Rancher/RKE2 specifically
