Quantity Surveyor roles – M&E and Civils (Maynooth)
We are currently working with a leading contractor seeking multiple experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their commercial team in Maynooth. These roles offer the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects, supporting the full commercial lifecycle of various projects and packages.
Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and civils packages.
* Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to carry out take-offs and cost analysis.
* Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for mechanical scopes.
* Utilise digital estimating and measurement tools such as Bluebeam, CostX, and Revit to improve accuracy and efficiency.
* Support the development of procurement strategies, including package breakdowns and early procurement of long-lead items.
* Ensure all mechanical scopes are clearly defined and correctly captured for tendering and procurement purposes.
* Prepare and issue tender packages to subcontractors and suppliers.
* Analyse, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
* Provide commercial input into procurement and contracting strategies for mechanical works.
* Review designs to identify value engineering opportunities and alternative specifications to optimise cost and value.
Requirements
* Degree or third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience with a main contractor, ideally within data centre or large-scale commercial projects.
* Strong background delivering commercial build projects, particularly within technically complex environments.
* Demonstrated experience negotiating packages and managing subcontract procurement.
* Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with figures.
