We are currently recruiting a Junior EHS Advisorto support a large-scalepharmaceutical construction project.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career EHS professional to gain hands-on experience within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment while working alongside experienced EHS and project leadership teams.
The Junior EHS Advisor will play a key role in supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance of health, safety, and environmental standards on site, helping to foster a strong safety-first culture across all project activities.
Key Responsibilities: Support the EHS Manager and EHS Advisors with site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and company management systems Assist in the preparation, review, and updating of risk assessments and method statements Deliver toolbox talks and basic HSE training sessions to site personnel and subcontractors under supervision Assist with incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, contributing to corrective and preventative actions Monitor the correct use of PPE, safety signage, and emergency procedures on site Support the implementation and maintenance of site-specific Construction Health & Safety Plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation, including GA certifications, statutory inspections, permits, incident logs, audit reports, and subcontractor documentation Promote environmental initiatives on site, including waste management and spill prevention controls Provide support during regulatory and client inspections Communicate effectively with site teams to promote awareness of EHS best practices and compliance expectations Key Competencies: Basic understanding of EHS legislation, risk assessment, and hazard identification Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage site teams and stakeholders Team-oriented mindset with the ability to take direction while showing initiative High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the role Basic knowledge of environmental management and sustainability practices Qualifications & Experience: Minimum Level 6 qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline (or equivalent)Previous experience in an EHS role, ideally within construction or regulated environments (internships or entry-level roles considered)Familiarity with EHS management systems and basic compliance audits is advantageous Awareness of construction safety regulations and environmental legislation Strong interest in developing skills in incident investigation, safety training, and environmental management Commitment to continuous professional development, including further third-level studies If you are looking for a new and refreshing role or have any questions about the position, then give me a call, drop me a message, or apply directly below and get ahead of the crowd I look forward to hearing from you.
